Caritas Kabale Diocese gets involved in the organization and management of resources and responsibilities for addressing all aspects of emergencies, in particular preparedness, response and initial recovery steps so as to avoid the escalation of an event into a disaster.
Caritas kabale in collaboration with Catholic Relief Services, UNHCR, UN Refugee Agency and Office of prime Minister responded to meet the immediate and life saving shelter needs of Congolese Refugees in kisoro District. Emergency shelter support to over 4,000 refugees in Nyakabande transit centre were constructed to save the situation.
